About Mike Daub
Mike was born and raised in Erie, Pennsylvania, attending Iroquois High School. He earned two bachelor’s degrees in Mathematics and Physics at Penn State and a master’s degree in Physics at UC Berkeley. In grad school, Mike worked on the ACBAR (Arcminute Cosmology Bolometer Array Receiver) project, which measured anisotropies of the cosmic microwave background radiation, and spent five summer seasons at Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station, Antarctica, where the ACBAR receiver operated. Lately, Mike taught physics and mathematics courses in California, Pennsylvania, and New York. Mike is an ordained minister in the Church of the Latter-Day Dude, a life member of the National Rifle Association, and an avid poker player.
